If I can stop one heart from breaking
I shall not live in vain

Emily Dickinson

Hopefully, through the power of music.

Chantal Kirsch is a vocalist, composer, and educator whose musical journey is fueled by deep curiosity and a passion for storytelling through sound. Born and raised in Luxembourg, she has always sought creative ways to express herself, but it wasn’t until her twenties that she truly embraced music as her professional path.

She dove in headfirst—honing her vocal craft and music theory skills with unwavering dedication. At the École Régionale de Musique de la Ville d'Echternach, she found invaluable mentors in Marc Demuth and George Letellier, who encouraged her to take the leap and study jazz vocals abroad. Their guidance led her to the Conservatorium Maastricht and later to the Hochschule für Musik Saar, where she earned her Master’s in Jazz and Modern Music.

Throughout her studies, Chantal was mentored by esteemed artists like Sabine Kühlich, Barbara Barth, Frank Giebels, Ron van Stratum, and Stefan Scheib. She also drew inspiration from masterclasses with jazz greats such as Cyrille Aimée, Jay Clayton, and Lizz Wright.

Her artistry extends beyond jazz, blending elements of soul, funk, trip-hop, and electronic music to craft a sound that is both timeless and contemporary. Currently, she focuses on her crossover quintet MAYA and various intermedial projects, continuously exploring different styles to expand her horizons.

“I keep searching for the most honest sound—the purest way to connect.”
